A "first time" visitor might be curious about the wheres and whys of Boulevard Christian Church. It can be a bit unsettling to think about visiting a new church. Many questions cross your mind about what we do, where to go, and what to say. We have tried to briefly answer some of those questions for you ahead of time to make your first visit more enjoyable. By eliminating the "unknowns" beforehand, it is our prayer that it will make you more comfortable when joining us for worship.
How do I get there and where do I park?
Please use the map found on our site or use Mapquest and enter our address and your location for directions to Boulevard Christian Church. Upon arrival at the church you will find parking lots on both sides of the church. You may enter through any door and follow the directions found there to the Sanctuary.
What should I wear to church?
There is no right way to dress at Boulevard Christian Church. Some people wear their Sunday best, and others dress very casual. Please wear whatever makes you comfortable.
How will I know my way around?
Directions to all areas of the church are found at every entrance. If additional help is needed, please ask someone. Our members are eager and willing to help you in any way possible.
Is nursery provided and what ages of children are accepted?
Yes, we provide nursery for children from birth thru age 4. Children age 5 and up have their own classes available for them.
Do you have Sunday School for children as well as adults?
Yes, our Faith Cafe program offers classes for children as well as adults. Children’s classes are grouped to be age appropriate for all children.
How will I know what to do next in the service?
Everything that happens in a worship service is printed in the Sunday bulletin you receive as you enter a worship services. The words of the songs as well as other information will be projected onto the screen at the front of the sanctuary.
Who can take communion, and how is it served?
Sharing in the Lord’s Supper is at the heart of worship for Boulevard Christian Church. The Lord’s Supper is open to all who believe and our guests are welcome to join us in this celebration feast.
Should I just visit just the Worship Service or perhaps come for Faith Cafe as well?
It is completely up to you, but you would be most comfortable on "day one" should you include Faith Cafe into your morning plans. Besides, you can really get to know us better in this small group setting. This is a fun, learning experience for people of all ages that begins at 9:00 AM. We enjoy breakfast from 9:00 to 9:40 AM with Bible Study from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Please feel free to arrive anytime between 9:00 and 9:40 AM.
May I meet the Minister and staff?
The Senior Minister, David Mackie, will always be available by the door as you exit any of our services. Please introduce yourself to him and let him know that you are a guest. Feel free to stop and visit with other members from the church whom you may have observed assisting in the worship services. Also, please fill out the guest card located in the pews or handed to you when you arrive and put it in the offering plate when it is passed. You can also meet our Youth Minister, Charles Fisher.
How can I get into a Small Group at Boulevard? We currently have three different Small Groups at Boulevard Christian Church that meet at various times throughout the week. Please email us at

Would counseling be available and who would provide the counseling?
Yes, counseling is available to all who want it. It is provided by our Sr. Minister, David Mackie, who can refer you to others if additional help is needed.
What can I do to become a member at Boulevard?
Boulevard requires just what is required in the New Testament, no more, no less.
To become a member at Boulevard you need to have faith that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God; repent of your sins; confess your faith in Christ before the church; be baptized by immersion; and accept the gift of the Holy Spirit. If you have already taken these steps in the past you can simply transfer your membership to Boulevard.
How does Boulevard practice baptism?
We practice only the baptism taught and practiced in Scripture and accepted by every church today: immersion of a penitent believer as a symbol of our participation in Christ's own death, burial, and resurrection.

I'm a vocalist, where do I fit in with the Worship Ministry?
The quickest way to get involved as a vocalist here at Boulevard is to join the Music Makers. There is no audition required and you can simply attend one of the rehearsals on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary to get connected with the other vocalists and the Worship Ministry Staff. If you have a desire to sing in one of our smaller vocal praise teams, an audition is required and can be arranged by Pastor David at 410-687-8014 or

What will be expected of me?
NOTHING AT ALL! You are welcome to participate, but do not feel obligated. You may just observe if that is your choice. As a respected guest you may be asked to fill out a Visitor's Card or sign the Guest Book. This simply provides information for the congregation to send you a thank note for your attendance and for the Minister to follow up with you. You may also include other information of your present needs on the card as well. Please place this card in the offering plate when passed to you.
At all service you will never be embarrassed or put on the spot. Everyone is encouraged to participate but only at his or her choice when they are comfortable doing so. Please come join us!!!
